Manual Upload Policy

Last updated: March 2026

What You Can Upload

Owner's manuals for equipment you own, for personal home maintenance tracking. You may upload a manual if you own the equipment and are using it to track your own maintenance. You may not upload service manuals, proprietary repair guides, or manuals for equipment you don't own.

What "Private by Default" Means

Manuals you upload are accessible only to you unless an administrator reviews and promotes them to the platform library. Your upload is never publicly accessible without your knowledge and a compliance review.

How Platform Library Promotion Works

When a manual is promoted to the shared library, it goes through an admin review: DRM check, manufacturer redistribution policy check, and quality review. If a manufacturer prohibits redistribution, the manual will not be promoted to the library, even if you uploaded a clean copy.

DMCA Process

If a manufacturer or rights holder submits a valid DMCA takedown notice for a manual in our library, we will remove it and notify the uploader. A copyright strike will be added to your account. Three strikes results in suspended upload access.
