Rebuilding after Centriq
Centriq shut down January 31, 2025. Here's how to rebuild your home's maintenance system in HomeMaintIQ — step by step.
Create your free account
Start at homemaintiq.app. The free tier covers 4 assets — your HVAC, water heater, washer, and dryer. No card required.
Create account →Gather your equipment information
For each major appliance: brand, model number, and serial number. These are on the label plate — usually inside the door or on the back. If you had this in Centriq, write it down from memory or walk your home.
Add your four most critical assets first
HVAC system, water heater, washing machine, dryer. These are the four most likely to generate expensive emergency repairs if maintenance is skipped. Add them in your first session.
Let AI find your manuals
For each asset you add, HomeMaintIQ runs the three-phase discovery pipeline. If your model is in our platform library (1,200+ models), results are instant. If not, we find and parse it.
Run a recall check on everything
Once your equipment is added, run a batch recall check. If you bought this home from someone else, this is especially important — the previous owner may not have known about recalls.
Add remaining equipment over time
Don't try to add everything in one session. The first four are the priority. Add your refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, and other appliances over the following week.
